Celebrating Compassion in Action: Meet Our March 2026 Caregiver of the Month, LeAnn Rowse

At AmanaCare, we talk often about dignity, stability, and compassionate presence. But every once in a while, a caregiver embodies those values so naturally and beautifully that we simply have to pause and celebrate them.

We are incredibly proud to recognize LeAnn Rowse of Burwell, Nebraska, as our March 2026 Caregiver of the Month.

LeAnn serves alongside Care Coordinator Natalie Adams and Scheduler Charlene Smith, and according to our Director of Care Coordination, Mikah Christensen, her impact has been extraordinary.

“I would like to nominate LeAnn Rowse,” Mikah shared. “LeAnn takes care of John, a younger male with a brain injury. Finding reliable staff for John was difficult until LeAnn came around. Not only does LeAnn care for John, but they have built the most beautiful connection of almost any caregiver/client relationship I have seen. For so many reasons.”

That kind of connection cannot be trained into someone. It comes from the heart.

John’s journey hasn’t been simple. Navigating life after a brain injury brings frustration, confusion, and moments of anger. But LeAnn hasn’t just shown up to complete tasks — she has shown up to build trust.

Scheduler Charlene Smith shared something especially powerful about LeAnn’s influence:

“LeAnn reintroduced a spiritual community to one of our clients. This client struggles with a brain injury and navigating the world, and his anger is difficult. LeAnn gently took him into her church home and they welcomed him and his deficits. The client blossomed and although he still has bouts of denial and anger, he looks to LeAnn for guidance and she accepts him as he is. LeAnn is also willing to give to other clients, helping them to doctor appointments even when her schedule is over booked.”

That is the kind of caregiver who changes lives.

LeAnn doesn’t just provide care — she creates belonging. She sees past behaviors and barriers and chooses to see the person. She offers guidance without judgment. She extends grace when it would be easier to withdraw.

Natalie Adams describes her simply and beautifully:

“She has such a warm, kind heart and sees the best in everyone.”

LeAnn’s heart for service extends beyond her caregiving role. She is deeply involved in her church community and participates in Wreaths Across America, honoring veterans and serving others with quiet dedication. Her faith isn’t something she talks about loudly — it’s something she lives.

At AmanaCare, being faith-based isn’t about a slogan. It’s about caregivers like LeAnn who reflect Christ’s love through patience, consistency, and compassion. It’s about meeting people exactly where they are — anger, deficits, confusion, and all — and choosing to stay.

LeAnn, we see you. We see your gentleness. We see your willingness to go above and beyond. We see the way you restore dignity and reintroduce hope.

Thank you for serving with such humility and strength. We are so grateful for your kindness and your heart for Jesus.

Congratulations, LeAnn Rowse — our March 2026 Caregiver of the Month.
