As spring blossoms across Omaha, so does a spirit of community, gratitude, and support. With several meaningful events coming up—especially those honoring Veterans, seniors, and caregivers—it’s a great time to reflect on how our local connections align with the heart of Omaha home care services offered by AmanaCare.
At AmanaCare, we provide faith-based in-home care that focuses on dignity, compassion, and connection. We’re proud to serve not just seniors and individuals with disabilities, but also the heroes who served us—Nebraska’s Veterans.
Patriotic Parade – Honoring Our Heroes
May 24 | Downtown Omaha – Old Market
Thousands will gather for the 5th Annual Patriotic Parade, a powerful tribute to Veterans and Gold Star families. With special guests like Pat Boone and Ann-Margret, this parade is more than an event—it’s a living history lesson. As a home care provider that accepts VA benefits and champions our Veterans daily, we’re thrilled to see our community celebrate those who’ve sacrificed so much.
Omaha home care services through AmanaCare include VA-supported in-home assistance, making it easier for Veterans to age in place with dignity and support.
Free Estate Planning Seminar – Securing the Future
May 21 | Tangier Shrine Center
Planning for long-term care and legacy is something many families avoid—until it becomes urgent. This free estate planning seminar offers a timely opportunity to gain clarity. As a family-owned agency, AmanaCare understands that being proactive makes all the difference, especially when preparing for care needs down the road.
We often guide families through the confusing process of care planning and Medicaid eligibility. Our Omaha home care services are designed to work hand-in-hand with professionals who help protect assets and peace of mind.
CPR Training & VA2K Walk – Serving Through Safety and Support
May 21 | Stony Brook Hy-Vee + Omaha VA Medical Center
Care starts with community awareness. That’s why we’re excited about two other events happening the same day: a free walk-in CPR clinic and the VA2K Walk & Roll to benefit homeless Veterans. From food donations to hands-on lifesaving skills, these events reflect the values AmanaCare holds dear—faith in action, service through compassion.
Healing Mass – Spiritual Care and Community
May 30 | Mary Our Queen Catholic Church
Our care model at AmanaCare includes the whole person—body, mind, and spirit. The Healing Mass hosted by His Global Love offers comfort and restoration through worship and prayer. Just as this event supports spiritual healing, our caregivers are trained to provide optional spiritual support to clients who request it—one of the many ways our faith-based foundation sets us apart in the world of Omaha home care services.
