Building Strong Community Connections Across Scottsbluff

There has been a lot of meaningful activity happening across Scottsbluff and the Nebraska Panhandle lately, and the AmanaCare team has been hard at work strengthening relationships, supporting caregivers, and staying connected to the community we love serving.

One of the many things that makes the Scottsbluff office special is the intentional effort to build personal relationships throughout the community. Recently, Susanna Rogers, Business Development Specialist for the Panhandle, spread a little joy by delivering May Day gift bags and creative tic-tac-toe games made with Tic Tacs to several local organizations, including the Gering Aging Office, Heritage Estates, and Regional West Medical Center.

These small acts of kindness may seem simple, but they reflect something much bigger — AmanaCare’s belief that relationships matter. Whether it’s encouraging healthcare professionals, thanking community partners, or simply making someone smile during their workday, those connections help strengthen the network of support available to local seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and families.

Planting Seeds of Care Throughout the Nebraska Panhandle

The Scottsbluff office has also continued its “Planting Seeds of Care” outreach initiative throughout the Panhandle. Susanna and the team delivered thoughtful gift bags to organizations including The DOVES Program, Senior Insurance & Retirement Advisors, and Family Medicine.

Additional stops included the Scotts Bluff County Volunteer Center, The Carpenter Center, Housing Partners, and the Gering Senior Center. During one stop, Susanna even had the opportunity to give an impromptu presentation about AmanaCare’s services and mission — a reminder that meaningful conversations can happen anywhere when people are passionate about helping others.

These outreach efforts are about more than marketing. They are about collaboration, awareness, and building trust within the communities we serve. Organizations throughout western Nebraska are all working toward a similar goal: helping people remain safe, supported, and cared for. AmanaCare is grateful to work alongside so many compassionate community partners who share that mission.

Internally, the Scottsbluff office has also focused heavily on caregiver appreciation and support. Caregivers are the heart of AmanaCare, and recognizing their dedication remains incredibly important to the team.

Recently, caregiver Brittany stopped by the office after handling a particularly difficult situation with exceptional grace, professionalism, and compassion. Tanya Staman, Scheduler for the Panhandle, presented Brittany with a special thank-you gift to recognize the care and respect she showed during a challenging circumstance. Moments like these highlight the incredible character of the caregivers who represent AmanaCare every day in clients’ homes.

The Panhandle team has also been active in serving the broader community through volunteer efforts. Tanya and Susanna recently participated in the Meals on Wheels program, delivering 21 meals throughout the area — including meals to three AmanaCare clients. Programs like Meals on Wheels play such an important role in helping older adults maintain nutrition, independence, and connection while remaining in their homes.

Why Community Involvement Matters to AmanaCare

At AmanaCare, community involvement is never limited to one building or one service. It extends into healthcare offices, senior centers, volunteer organizations, homes, and neighborhoods throughout western Nebraska. Whether delivering meals, recognizing caregivers, sharing resources, or simply dropping off a thoughtful gift bag, the Scottsbluff office continues to embody what it means to serve others with compassion and purpose.
