Bloom & Build: Creating Meaningful Connections
At our Lincoln office, AmanaCare proudly hosted the Bloom & Build WHAM (Women in Healthcare Administration and Marketing) event—and it was something truly special.
This wasn’t your typical networking event.
It was intentionally designed to foster real connection and meaningful collaboration among women in healthcare.
Through a series of interactive stations, attendees were able to:
- share the types of referrals they’re looking for—and what they can offer
- highlight what makes their organizations unique
- and encourage one another through shared insights, experiences, and inspiration
The energy in the room was incredible.
There was laughter. There were honest conversations. And there was a shared understanding that we all play a role in supporting the same people—just in different ways.
Because when healthcare professionals truly understand each other’s work,
everyone benefits—especially the individuals and families we serve.
Events like Bloom & Build remind us that collaboration isn’t just helpful—it’s essential.
Celebrating Leadership: Mikah Christensen
Alongside community connection, we’re also proud to celebrate leadership within our own team.
Mikah Christensen, Director of Care Coordination, was recently awarded our Q1 Administrative Leadership Excellence Award.
This award is given each quarter to an administrative team member who consistently lives out AmanaCare’s mission—and Mikah embodies that in every sense.
With over 12 years of public health experience, Mikah brings both knowledge and heart to her role. She holds an Advanced Care Planning Certificate through the CDC and serves as a board member for Lincoln Tree of Hope.
Her background also includes firsthand experience providing in-home hospice care, giving her a deep understanding of what families and caregivers truly need.
But beyond credentials, it’s who Mikah is that makes the biggest impact.
She is known for:
- her grit
- her passion
- her authenticity
- and her unwavering commitment to both our team and the people we serve
Mikah is deeply passionate about:
- supporting caregivers
- strengthening care systems
- and fostering structured collaboration across teams
As our Director of Care Coordination, she plays a vital role in ensuring that care is not only delivered—but delivered well, thoughtfully, and with intention.
We are incredibly grateful for her leadership and the way she pours into our team, our caregivers, and our clients every single day.
