At AmanaCare, some of the most important work happens quietly—in a client’s home, in the details of a caregiver’s shift notes, in advocating for additional support, or in taking the time to help a new caregiver learn the ropes.
Our Caregiver of the Month, Alyse Pruett, is someone who consistently understands the importance of those details.
Alyse has been part of the AmanaCare North Platte team for more than a year and currently provides care for one of our private-pay clients. Her initiative, reliability, and leadership have also earned her a promotion to Lead Caregiver, giving her additional responsibilities that include training new caregivers and conducting supervisory visits.
And she’s doing all of this while currently taking classes to pursue a career in nursing!
The Details Matter
One area where Alyse particularly stands out is something that may not receive much attention outside the home care world: documentation.
Caregiver notes are an incredibly important part of providing dependable, professional care. When a family member, Service Coordinator, or member of our office team has a question about a client, detailed documentation helps us understand exactly what has been happening during their care.
Alyse takes that responsibility seriously.
Her descriptive, thorough notes give our team valuable information about her clients and their day-to-day needs. Instead of having to piece together what happened during a shift, our staff can often open our care platform and find the information we need right there.
That makes our jobs easier—but, more importantly, it helps AmanaCare provide more consistent and informed support to the people we serve.
Good documentation isn’t just paperwork. It’s part of good caregiving.
An Advocate for Her Clients
Alyse also isn’t afraid to speak up when she believes a client needs additional support.
She advocates for the people she serves and has gone above and beyond to help clients receive the services or authorized care hours they need. That willingness to notice a need, communicate it and help find a solution is exactly the kind of initiative we value in our caregivers.
Alyse is smart, fierce, dependable and willing to take responsibility—qualities that make her an asset not only to her clients, but to the entire AmanaCare team.
Sara Yates, Director of Operations for AmanaCare North Platte, says, “Alyse brings kindness, determination, and a true heart for advocacy to everything she does. She supports new caregivers, remembers the details that matter, and is always striving to do more for the people she serves.”
Helping AmanaCare Grow
Alyse has even stepped outside her normal caregiving responsibilities to help us tell the AmanaCare story.
When our marketing team needed caregivers willing to be interviewed and featured in promotional videos, Alyse said yes! She stepped in front of the camera to talk about her experience with AmanaCare and is now featured on our Indeed profile, helping prospective caregivers get a glimpse of what it’s really like to be part of our team.
That kind of participation means more than people may realize. Finding great caregivers allows us to serve more Nebraska families—and sometimes the best person to inspire a future caregiver is someone already doing the job.
We appreciate caregivers who are willing to say, “I’ll help.” Whether that means taking on leadership responsibilities, advocating for a client, writing an exceptionally detailed shift note, training a new team member or helping with an idea that strengthens AmanaCare as a whole.
Alyse does all of those things.
Congratulations to Alyse Pruett, our Caregiver of the Month! We are grateful for the intelligence, initiative, reliability and heart she brings to AmanaCare and to the clients she serves. We’re proud to have her growing alongside us—and we can’t wait to see where her future in healthcare takes her. 💙
