There has been no shortage of excitement coming out of AmanaCare’s Kearney office lately! Between caregiver appreciation events, community networking, co-marketing outings, and relationship-building across central Nebraska, our team has been busy strengthening the connections that help local seniors, veterans, individuals with disabilities, and families receive the compassionate support they deserve.

One of the highlights of the month was our Cinco de Mayo caregiver celebration at the Kearney office. The event was hosted in an open-house style format, allowing caregivers to stop by throughout the day to relax, connect with office staff, and enjoy some well-deserved appreciation. The conference room was fully decorated for the occasion, creating a fun and festive atmosphere for everyone who attended.

Caregivers were treated to a build-your-own taco and nacho bar, along with snacks, treats, and gift bags to take home. More importantly, it gave caregivers an opportunity to simply slow down for a little while, laugh together, and spend time with the people who support them behind the scenes every day. At AmanaCare, we know our caregivers are the heart of what we do, and creating moments of encouragement and connection for them matters deeply to us.

Beyond the office walls, Amber Corbin, our Business Development Specialist for central Nebraska, has been actively out in the community building meaningful relationships with local organizations and professionals who share our passion for serving others.

One day included delivering spring goodies throughout Hastings while connecting with local partners and community contacts. These small gestures help strengthen relationships with the professionals and organizations who work alongside us to support aging adults and families throughout the region.

Amber also participated in several collaborative outings and lunch meetings following local Aging Coalition gatherings. These opportunities allow professionals across industries to connect, share resources, and discuss ways to better serve individuals in Nebraska communities.

One such lunch gathering included Matt Conely and Ana Miller with Cornerstone Caregiving, Sara Tibbs with Emerald Nursing & Rehab, Amber Raine with Senior Home Solutions, Caleb Donovan with Donovan Industries, and Rob Czaplewski with Angel’s Care. Relationships like these are important because quality care often takes a village. By maintaining strong communication and collaboration between organizations, families are more likely to receive seamless support and better access to helpful resources.

Amber also spent time co-marketing alongside McKenna O’Rourke from Angels Care Home Health, including visits in North Platte and additional outreach following the Kearney Aging Coalition meeting. Collaborations like these are especially valuable because they allow organizations with different specialties to work together toward the same goal: helping individuals remain safe, supported, and cared for in their homes and communities.

At AmanaCare, community involvement is more than networking — it’s relationship building. Whether it’s celebrating caregivers in the office, delivering spring treats across town, attending coalition meetings, or partnering with fellow healthcare professionals, each interaction strengthens the support system available to Nebraska families.

The Kearney office continues to be a hub of energy, encouragement, and collaboration, and we’re excited to keep the momentum going. From caregiver appreciation to community partnerships, we’re proud to continue “Keeping Up with Kearney” and serving central Nebraska with compassion, faith, and purpose.
