Power Partner Spotlight: Hallmark Homecare Lincoln: A Different Approach, a Shared Heart for Care

AmanaCare Power Partner spotlight on Hallmark Homecare Lincoln and its independent caregiver matching services

At AmanaCare, we believe there’s room at the table for organizations that genuinely care about helping Nebraskans live safely and comfortably at home. That’s why our Power Partner features aren’t limited to organizations outside our own industry. Sometimes, one of the best partners is another company working toward a very similar goal.

This October, we’re proud to recognize Hallmark Homecare Lincoln as our Power Partner and celebrate owners and operators Jason and Katey Viergutz, Community Relations Coordinator Brittany Tran, and the work they’re doing for families throughout Lincoln and the surrounding areas.

Hallmark recently celebrated its second anniversary in Lincoln, marking two years of building relationships with families, caregivers and community partners. In a relatively short time, Jason, Katey and Brittany have become familiar faces throughout the Lincoln community, as well as people that we at AmanaCare have genuinely enjoyed getting to know.

A Different Model for Finding Care

Although Hallmark and AmanaCare both work to help people receive care at home, our business models are different. Hallmark operates as a recruiter and matchmaker, connecting families with experienced, professional, independent caregivers. Rather than employing the caregiver through a traditional home care agency, families hire their matched caregiver directly.

That model can offer families several advantages, including greater control over their care arrangement, consistency in who provides the care, access to a robust pool of screened and vetted independent caregivers, and potentially lower overall costs. It can also create opportunities for caregivers to have more control over the clients and schedules they accept.

Most importantly, it gives Nebraska families another option when they’re trying to determine what kind of care arrangement works best for their particular situation.

When Care Needs Are More Complex

Every person’s care needs are different, and some families come to Hallmark after struggling to find an arrangement that fits. Because Hallmark maintains a strong registry of caregivers with varied backgrounds and experience, families with more extensive or complex care needs may find possibilities through Hallmark that they haven’t previously considered.

Depending on the individual’s needs and the qualifications and availability of an appropriate caregiver, this can sometimes include situations involving specialized or higher-level assistance.

Jason and his team are always willing to have a conversation with families about their care needs, even when those needs involve more extensive support. Because every situation is unique, Hallmark evaluates each individually to determine what options and caregiver arrangements may be possible. There are no one-size-fits-all solutions in home care, but exploring the possibilities is always worthwhile, and sometimes, the right caregiver match can make all the difference.

Families interested in exploring whether Hallmark’s model might be a good fit can reach the Lincoln team at 531-221-1600 or connect directly with Brittany at btran@hallmarkhomecare.com. A conversation is a simple first step toward understanding what options may be available.

Partners, Even When Our Work Overlaps

AmanaCare and Hallmark provide many of the same types of support to Nebraska families. On paper, that could make us competitors. We prefer to look at the bigger picture.

Nebraska families need good care. They need trustworthy people helping them navigate their options. And they need organizations willing to put the needs of the person ahead of the desire to “win” every referral.

When we encounter a family whose needs may be better suited to another model, we want to know organizations we trust. We appreciate partners who approach us with that same spirit. That is exactly the kind of relationship we’ve found with Hallmark.

Jason, Katey and Brittany share many of the values that matter deeply to us at AmanaCare: relationships, integrity, community involvement and a genuine desire to help people. We see them throughout the Lincoln community; we enjoy working alongside them, and we’re happy to support the work they’re doing.

Because ultimately, supporting another organization that provides great care isn’t supporting the competition. It’s supporting Nebraska families.

Congratulations to Hallmark Homecare Lincoln on two years of serving the community. We’re grateful for your partnership, your friendship, and your shared commitment to helping people receive excellent care at home. Cheers to Year Three, and to many more opportunities to work alongside one another.
