AmanaCare had a wonderful time hosting a Jeopardy game at the Northeast Senior Center in Lincoln — located in the heart of the Havelock community on Platte Avenue. The Northeast Center is part of Aging Partners, offering recreational programs, fitness classes, crafts, and daily opportunities for meaningful social connection.

- Native Americans 50+ and their spouses
This welcoming center is a place where friendships are formed, laughter is shared, and community truly comes to life — and our Jeopardy event fit right in!
AmanaCare’s Jeopardy Game Themes
We brought a custom-created Jeopardy board with categories designed just for our Nebraska seniors, including:
- Classic Movies
- Nebraska Fun Facts
- Comfort Foods
- Famous Inventions
- TV Families
- Classic Cars
- Bible Verses
The Bible Verses category was a standout — participants did an incredible job naming the book of the Bible it came from. We were truly impressed!
The Nebraska category was also a hit — participants knew:
- Omaha is home to the world-famous zoo
- Chimney Rock sits near Scottsbluff
- Buffalo Bill’s legacy began in North Platte
Classic Cars and TV Families brought back familiar memories and lots of smiles!
(Comfort Foods… surprisingly… was the least popular! Apparently, Nebraska seniors are not as food-obsessed as Heather, our Jeopardy creator.)
Gift Bags, Laughter, & A Whole Lot of Community
The winning team in Final Jeopardy (a Bible-based question!) received an AmanaCare prize bag with:
- A Bible verse word search book
- Candy
- A seasonal candle
But everyone who played received a gift bag — and even a few individuals finishing lunch in the dining room received surprise extras. No one was left out!
Heather (Director of Marketing) and Kathi (AmanaCare’s Founder) co-hosted the event — and at one point, Kathi kindly translated clues for a Spanish-speaking attendee so she could participate.
It was a beautiful reminder that everyone deserves to feel included, valued, and welcomed.
