At AmanaCare, we believe exceptional care does not happen in isolation. It happens through collaboration, communication, and trusted community partnerships that help individuals and families navigate every stage of life with dignity and support.
Our Omaha office has been incredibly grateful to work alongside organizations throughout southeast Nebraska that share our commitment to compassionate service, individualized care, and helping people remain safe and supported at home.
Today, we want to highlight three incredible community partners that continue making a meaningful impact in the lives of Nebraska families:
We are especially thankful for the relationships we’ve built with Wendy Tridle, Christy Michel, Kristi Jarecki-Vering, and Shannon Ruzicka — women whose passion, professionalism, and compassion continue to strengthen the communities they serve.
Organize by Design: Creating Calm During Life Transitions
Organize by Design was founded by Wendy Tridle, a professional organizer, relocation specialist, interior designer, and motivational speaker who has been helping people create more functional and less stressful spaces since 2009.
Serving Lincoln and Omaha, Organize by Design assists with:
- Downsizing
- Relocation support
- Packing and unpacking
- Professional organizing
- Storage solutions
- Space planning
- Interior design
- Holiday decorating
- Home staging
- Gift wrapping
For many seniors and families, transitions such as moving, downsizing, or reorganizing a home can feel emotionally overwhelming. Wendy and her team bring patience, compassion, and practical expertise into situations that often carry both emotional and logistical stress.
At AmanaCare, we deeply value partners like Wendy because they understand that supporting someone at home goes beyond physical care. A safe, functional, organized environment can dramatically improve quality of life, reduce stress, and create a greater sense of peace and independence for clients and families alike.
Wendy’s heart for helping others shines through in every interaction, and we are grateful for the care and professionalism she brings to southeast Nebraska families.
AseraCare Hospice Care: Walking Beside Families With Compassion
AseraCare Hospice Care (Amedisys) continues to be a valued partner in supporting patients and families facing end-of-life journeys with dignity, comfort, and compassion.
Hospice care provides specialized support for individuals facing terminal illness or life-limiting conditions. Through personalized care plans, hospice teams offer:
- Pain and symptom management
- Skilled nursing care
- Hospice aides
- Emotional and spiritual support
- Social work services
- Bereavement counseling
- Family caregiver support
At AmanaCare, we strongly believe hospice and non-medical home care work beautifully together. Hospice clinicians provide clinical expertise and symptom management, while non-medical caregivers provide the continuous day-to-day support that helps families remain stable between visits.
One of the individuals we are especially grateful to know through this partnership is Christy Michel. Christy’s passion for hospice care is evident in the way she speaks about serving patients and families. Her belief that “Hospice isn’t about dying — it’s about LIVING” reflects the compassionate philosophy that makes hospice care so meaningful.
Another incredible connection formed through this partnership was with Kristi Jarecki-Vering, Director of Operations for AseraCare Hospice Care (Amedisys) in York, Nebraska. Heather Schanou had the opportunity to present to the AseraCare York team about AmanaCare’s non-medical home care services and the important role supportive care plays alongside hospice. Kristi created an environment centered around collaboration, education, and shared purpose.
During the presentation, discussions focused on how hospice and non-medical home care can work together to better support patients and families by improving stability in the home and reinforcing care plans between hospice visits. The partnership between AseraCare’s York and Lincoln teams reflects a larger commitment to coordinated, compassionate care throughout southeast Nebraska.
We appreciate the AseraCare team because they approach vulnerable moments with empathy, education, guidance, and grace. They remind families they are not alone, and they help patients experience dignity and comfort during incredibly important stages of life.
Partnerships like these matter deeply because families deserve coordinated care, compassionate communication, and support systems that work together instead of separately.
AgeWise Therapy: Helping Older Adults Stay Safe and Independent at Home
AgeWise Therapy provides mobile outpatient therapy designed to help adults remain safe, independent, and confident at home.
Led by Shannon Ruzicka, MOT, OTR/L, AgeWise Therapy brings nearly 20 years of occupational therapy experience directly into the homes of clients throughout southeast Nebraska.
Unlike traditional home health therapy models, AgeWise Therapy allows individuals to receive outpatient therapy services in the comfort of home without needing to be homebound or recently hospitalized.
Services focus on:
- Fall prevention
- Safety assessments
- Rebuilding everyday skills
- Strength and mobility support
- Home modifications and adaptations
- Caregiver support
- Promoting long-term independence
At AmanaCare, we value Shannon’s approach because it aligns so closely with our own mission of helping people safely remain in the place they feel most comfortable: home.
Shannon’s philosophy centers around listening first — understanding each individual’s goals, challenges, and routines before creating practical solutions that restore confidence and independence.
Her compassion and dedication provide tremendous reassurance for families navigating aging-related changes or recovery challenges. Together, our teams help create safer home environments while supporting both clients and family caregivers.
Why These Partnerships Matter
At AmanaCare, we know no single organization can meet every need a family may face.
That is why strong community partnerships are so important.
Whether someone needs help downsizing a home, navigating hospice care, rebuilding strength after illness, or simply remaining safe and independent at home, trusted partnerships allow us to connect families with the right resources at the right time.
We are incredibly thankful for organizations like Organize by Design, AseraCare Hospice Care, and AgeWise Therapy — and for professionals like Wendy Tridle, Christy Michel, Kristi Jarecki-Vering, and Shannon Ruzicka who continue making southeast Nebraska a more compassionate and supportive place for older adults and families.
The Omaha office is proud to work alongside community partners who lead with heart, professionalism, and purpose every single day.
