It has been an exciting season here in North Platte — and we are grateful to share some wonderful news! Celebrating With Our Caregivers — Soup, Smiles & Community
To celebrate this achievement, our North Platte team hosted a warm and cozy soup luncheon at the local office. Caregivers and clients were invited to stop in for:
- Three kinds of homemade soup
- Cookies & fall treats
- Gift bags for each attendee
- Photos, laughter, and community time together
It was a simple gathering — but meaningful. We talked, snacked, shared stories, and celebrated the incredible work our caregivers do every day.
Because awards are wonderful — but the real honor belongs to the caregivers who show up with heart, compassion, patience, and faith day after day.
Taking the Celebration Into the Community — Trunk or Treat!
Just a week later, Sara Schroeder, our North Platte Care Coordinator & Scheduler, and Heather Schanou, our Marketing Director, attended a Trunk or Treat at the North Platte Fairgrounds!
We handed out:
- Candy
- Toys
- Stickers
- LRI (Legally Responsible Individual) Program Information Cards
We loved meeting community members, saying hello to familiar faces, and sharing resources that could make a meaningful difference for families.

During Trunk or Treat, we shared information about the LRI Program, which has been life-changing for many Nebraska families. This program allows a parent or spouse to be paid to care for their loved one at home — while receiving ongoing support and guidance from our team.
