At AmanaCare, we love our work—and we love our Huskers! On Friday, October 17th, our team celebrated Husker Friday by showing up in our favorite red and white gear while caring for the families we serve across Nebraska.

It was an exciting weekend for Husker fans!

• The Nebraska volleyball team took on Michigan State and came out with a well-earned victory. 🏐
• The football team faced Minnesota and—while the score didn’t land in our favor—we’re loyal to our Huskers through every season. ❤️🏈

Whether cheering for a win or supporting through a tough loss, our team spirit stays strong. And yes—we have the photos to prove it!

Our founder, Kathleen Horsley, grew up in Columbus, Nebraska with her grandmother living in her home. She witnessed firsthand the importance of compassionate caregivers—individuals who made independence possible for seniors and families. That experience shaped her calling. After becoming a Registered Nurse through UNMC in 1993 and later earning her Master’s in Healthcare Administration, Kathleen built AmanaCare to honor God through service, compassion, and care delivered with dignity.
