What’s New in North Platte? Collaboration, Community, and Care That Goes Beyond

AmanaCare North Platte Community Care Updates | AmanaCare

There’s always something happening in North Platte—and at AmanaCare, we wouldn’t have it any other way.

If there’s one thing that defines our North Platte office, it’s this:

We don’t believe in doing this alone.

Care is stronger when it’s collaborative, and our team has been leaning into that more than ever.

Better Together: Partnering for Stronger Care

AmanaCare in North Platte is proud to be partnering with incredible local professionals like McKenna O’Rourke from Angels Care Home Health and Angel Thompson from Caring Friends In-Home Care.

Why?

Because no single agency can meet every need on its own.

By working together, we’re able to:

  • share referrals
  • co-sponsor events
  • and co-present to local organizations

This kind of collaboration ensures that individuals and families receive the right level of care—when and where they need it.

At the end of the day, it’s not about competition.
It’s about serving people well.

Showing Up—In the Office and Out in the Community

The North Platte team truly embraces being present, whether that means opening our doors or hitting the road.

We love:

  • hosting caregiver open houses
  • inviting clients into the office for connection, food, and small gifts
  • creating spaces where people feel welcomed and appreciated

Recently, we hosted a 2-day Easter Open House, inviting caregivers, clients, and community partners to stop by, enjoy some treats, and spend time with our team. Events like these aren’t just about celebration—they’re about building relationships.

And when people can’t come to us?

We go to them.

Sara Yates, Ashley Huffman, and Heather Schanou have taken the AmanaCare car to Ogallala, making visits to clients and caregivers who aren’t able to make it into the office.

Because care doesn’t have a zip code—it follows people wherever they are.

Deep Roots in the North Platte Community

Being local means more than having an office here—it means being involved.

Our North Platte team is actively engaged in:

  • the Chamber of Commerce
  • Rotary
  • the Alzheimer’s Walk committee
  • the Business Professional Women’s Club of North Platte

These aren’t just memberships—they’re opportunities to connect, serve, and give back to the community we’re proud to be part of.

Why It Matters

When we collaborate with other providers, host events, and stay involved in the community, something important happens:

People feel supported.

They feel seen.

And they feel like they have options.

At AmanaCare, we believe that’s exactly how care should feel.

North Platte, We’re Grateful to Be Part of You

Whether we’re inviting people into our office or heading out into the community, our goal is the same:

To build relationships, support families, and provide care that truly makes a difference.

And in North Platte, we’re just getting started.
