Our Broken Bow team includes Charlene Smith, Director of Operations, Amber Corbin, Business Development Specialist, and Natalie Adams, Care Coordinator. Together, they’re already making meaningful connections and introducing AmanaCare to communities throughout Custer County and beyond.

Making a Splash at Broken Bow’s Crazy Days

One of the team’s first opportunities to connect with the community was Broken Bow’s annual Crazy Days celebration, a beloved summer tradition featuring downtown shopping, family activities, local vendors, and entertainment.

AmanaCare hosted a vendor booth throughout the event, meeting local residents and sharing information about the many ways we support older adults and individuals with disabilities throughout Nebraska.

Events like Crazy Days aren’t just about handing out brochures—they’re about building relationships, answering questions, and letting families know they have a trusted resource when the need for home care arises.

Bringing Resources to Rural Nebraska

The team also participated in the Callaway Health Fair, another wonderful opportunity to connect with families in smaller Nebraska communities.

Many rural residents aren’t aware that quality in-home care may be available much closer to home than they realize. During the event, the team shared information about AmanaCare’s services, with special emphasis on the Nebraska Medicaid Aged & Disabled Waiver and VA services, helping veterans, older adults, and individuals with disabilities understand the support available to help them remain safely and independently at home.

These conversations are exactly why community events matter. They connect people with resources they may not have known were available.

Building Partnerships Through Education

Community outreach doesn’t stop at health fairs.

Amber has also been partnering with McKenna O’Rourke of Angels Care Home Health to offer Lunch & Learn presentations for hospitals, medical clinics, and healthcare organizations throughout Central Nebraska.

These educational sessions provide healthcare professionals with information about the many services AmanaCare offers, helping them better understand the resources available for patients who wish to remain safely at home. By working alongside other healthcare providers, AmanaCare continues to strengthen relationships and improve the continuum of care for families throughout the region.

If your clinic, hospital, or healthcare organization would be interested in hosting a Lunch & Learn, we’d love the opportunity to connect with your team.

Growing Relationships Across Central Nebraska

Opening an office is only the beginning.

At AmanaCare, we believe becoming part of a community means showing up, meeting people, supporting local events, educating professionals, and building trust one relationship at a time.

The Broken Bow team is committed to doing exactly that as they continue serving families throughout Central Nebraska with compassion, professionalism, and servant-hearted care.

Whether you’re looking for assistance for an aging parent, a veteran, an individual with a disability, or simply want to learn more about the services available in your community, we’d love to visit with you.

We’re excited about everything ahead and look forward to becoming a trusted resource for families throughout Broken Bow and the surrounding communities.
