At AmanaCare, some of our most meaningful work happens when our teams come together—sharing ideas, swapping stories, and strengthening the relationships that help us better serve families across Nebraska. This week, that spirit was alive and well in our Kearney office.

Alicia Brown and Heather Schanou spent the day in Kearney collaborating on marketing strategies, outreach efforts, and ways to continue elevating the AmanaCare experience for both caregivers and clients. But beyond the planning and projects, what stood out most was the opportunity to connect face-to-face with the incredible team that makes our central Nebraska operations thrive.

While there, Alicia and Heather had the chance to spend time with:

• Jodi Bronson, Director of Human Resources, who helps ensure our team members feel supported, valued, and equipped to grow.
• Nancy Smolik, Care Coordinator for the Kearney area, who works closely with families to make sure care plans truly fit each client’s needs.
• Kathy Quail, Scheduling Coordinator, the steady hand behind the scenes keeping care consistent and reliable.
• Joann Billings, Billing Specialist, who helps families navigate the financial side of care with clarity and confidence.
• Brenae Wiemers, Recruiting and Outreach Specialist, who plays a key role in connecting compassionate caregivers with the people who need them most.

Our Kearney office is proud to be AmanaCare’s second-largest team in Nebraska, and it shows. The reach and impact of this group extends across central Nebraska, supporting a wide network of caregivers and the clients who rely on them every day.

The day was filled with meaningful conversations, plenty of hugs, and a shared sense of purpose—reminding us that while we may work in different roles and locations, we’re united by the same mission: honoring the dignity of every person we serve.
