At AmanaCare, our presence in the community is built on relationships — the kind that grow from shared experiences, mutual trust, and a common goal of supporting individuals and families when they need it most. This month, our Omaha team had the opportunity to strengthen two meaningful connections that reflect exactly what we stand for: compassion, collaboration, and care that goes beyond the basics.
Connecting Through Shared Experience at Madonna
Amber Corbin recently visited with Amy Goldman from the Department of Stroke and Cancer at Madonna in Omaha. Their connection runs deeper than a typical professional introduction — Amy is also a friend of Amber’s through Stroke Camp, a community built around encouragement, understanding, and shared resilience.
Amber’s husband, Duane, is a stroke survivor, and together they attend these camps to find camaraderie and spend time with others who truly understand the unique challenges that come with recovery and long-term care. That personal perspective is what fuels Amber’s passion for building referral partnerships that genuinely serve families, not just systems.
During the visit, Amber left Amy with brochures, flyers, and business cards so families connected to Madonna’s programs can easily find non-medical home care support through AmanaCare when the need arises. It’s these simple, thoughtful touchpoints that help ensure families don’t feel alone once they leave a clinical setting.
Fun side note: Amy’s son is a Nebraska Cornhusker football player — a proud reminder of how deeply rooted these connections are in our local community.
A Seat at the Table with Cityscape Healthcare
Heather Schanou, Sales & Marketing Director at AmanaCare, spent time visiting Cityscape Healthcare in Omaha, where she was welcomed with a full tour and the chance to meet their incredible team of doctors and nurses. Cityscape specializes in wound care throughout southeast Nebraska, and its focus on quality, consistency, and patient-centered treatment aligns closely with AmanaCare’s mission.
Heather dropped off marketing materials that will now live in Cityscape’s exam rooms and waiting areas, officially giving AmanaCare “a seat in the building” as a trusted resource for patients and families who may need ongoing, non-medical home care support alongside their clinical treatment.
Before heading out, Heather convinced Jamie Loch, Practice Manager at Cityscape, to grab a quick selfie in front of her iconic “Hustle and Grind” posters — a lighthearted moment that perfectly captured the spirit of two teams working hard to make a difference.
Proud to Partner in Better Outcomes
Jamie and her team at Cityscape focus on helping patients heal and regain comfort through specialized wound care. AmanaCare is proud to partner alongside them, offering in-home support that helps clients follow care plans, maintain safe living environments, and reduce the risk of complications between appointments.
