Summer has been a busy season for the Scottsbluff team, and one thing is certain—they’ve been making the most of every opportunity to serve their community.
Delivering More Than Meals
Every week, Susanna Rogers, Director of Operations for Scottsbluff, and Tanya Staman, Scheduling Coordinator, volunteer to deliver Meals on Wheels to local seniors.
But they don’t stop there.
Along with each meal, they often include small surprises like mints, pocket crosses, and seasonal treats to brighten someone’s day. These thoughtful touches are a simple reminder that compassion often comes in the smallest gestures.
Even during the hottest days of summer, Susanna and Tanya continue showing up with smiles, kindness, and a genuine desire to make every delivery a little more meaningful.
Keeping Family at the Heart of Everything We Do
At AmanaCare, family has always been at the center of our mission—and sometimes that extends beyond our clients.
In July, Susanna’s mother, Jane Heimbouch, joined her in North Platte as the featured speaker for the Business & Professional Women’s (BPW) meeting. Jane shared valuable insights on achieving work-life balance and the importance of putting family first, offering encouragement and practical wisdom to attendees.
It’s a wonderful example of how AmanaCare embraces the strengths and experiences of those around us, knowing that meaningful conversations and shared knowledge can make a lasting impact on our communities.
Celebrating Independence Day—AmanaCare Style
The Scottsbluff office found a fun way to celebrate the Fourth of July by hosting a Dirty Soda Pop Shop for caregivers in the Gering office.
But they didn’t want distance to keep anyone from joining the celebration.
Knowing that many caregivers, clients, and referral partners in communities like Chadron and Alliance wouldn’t be able to attend the open house, Susanna packed up the celebration and took it on the road.
She personally delivered 65 Bomb Pop Dirty Soda Kits to referral partners, Service Coordinators, caregivers, and clients throughout the region.
Because why should anyone miss out on the fun?
Sometimes the best marketing—and the best caregiving—is simply finding creative ways to make people feel included, appreciated, and remembered.
Save the Date!
The Scottsbluff team is already looking ahead to another exciting opportunity to serve the community.

Whether they’re delivering meals, sharing encouragement, celebrating caregivers, or planning educational events, Susanna and Tanya continue to demonstrate what AmanaCare is all about: serving others with compassion, creativity, and a servant’s heart.
