The Nebraska Panhandle is one of the most unique and beautiful regions in the state. In fact, the Panhandle is two-thirds as high and nearly a quarter as broad as the rest of Nebraska, creating a landscape that feels distinctly its own. Western Nebraska offers scenery that many would describe as the most breathtaking in the state. Here, the horizon stretches endlessly, revealing what many locals call a never-ending sky above deep canyons, pine forests, and wide-open plains.
It is within this remarkable region that AmanaCare continues to grow.
A New Office for a Growing Community
As AmanaCare’s presence in western Nebraska continues to expand, we are excited to announce that our Panhandle team has moved into a larger and more accessible office space to better serve the community.
Our new location is:
1870 9th Street, Suite B
Gering, Nebraska 69341
This new office allows us to support more families, meet with community partners, and continue building relationships across the Nebraska Panhandle.
Growth in this region reflects something we deeply believe at AmanaCare — every Nebraskan deserves access to compassionate, reliable in-home care.
Leadership in the Panhandle: Susanna Rogers
A major driver behind this growth is Susanna Rogers, AmanaCare’s business development specialist in the Nebraska Panhandle.
For over a year, Susanna has worked tirelessly to expand AmanaCare’s presence in western Nebraska. Born and raised in the Panhandle, she knows the communities, understands the needs of local families, and has built strong relationships throughout the region.
Susanna brings a diverse professional background that includes small business ownership, executive assisting, marketing, hospitality, and dental care, all of which contribute to her ability to connect with people and serve the community with authenticity and compassion.
Outside of her professional work, Susanna and her husband Sean are raising two active children, Gracelynn and Pierce. Much of their family life revolves around community activities, including 4H, school events, and sports. They also enjoy spending time with family and friends whenever they can.
In her role at AmanaCare, Susanna focuses on building partnerships, educating communities about available care options, and ensuring that families across western Nebraska know where to turn when they need support.
Her efforts have significantly increased awareness of AmanaCare’s services across the Panhandle, helping more individuals remain safe and supported in their homes.
Supporting Families Through Care Coordination
Another key member of the Panhandle team is Mattie Churchill, Care Coordinator for the region.
Mattie earned her Bachelor of Science in Art Education from Chadron State College in 2015, where she studied graphic design and visual communication, followed by a Master of Arts in Education with an emphasis in school counseling in 2018. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in clinical mental health counseling, further expanding her ability to support the emotional and social needs of individuals receiving care at home.
Her academic journey reflects a deep belief in whole-person care, recognizing the important connection between mental, emotional, and physical well-being.
Outside of her professional role, Mattie is a proud mother of two children who are actively involved in sports and activities, including soccer, dance, gymnastics, basketball, football, and volleyball. She enjoys traveling with her children, reading, and continually learning about practices that support healthy minds and bodies.
As a care coordinator, Mattie is passionate about helping individuals remain in their homes for as long as possible. She works closely with families to ensure clients stay connected with their communities while receiving the care they need during both everyday routines and more challenging life transitions.
Her approach is rooted in compassion, respect, and a genuine commitment to helping people live meaningful lives at home.
Growth Brings New Opportunities
With the rapid growth of AmanaCare’s services across the Nebraska Panhandle, the team recently welcomed another important addition: a dedicated scheduling coordinator for western Nebraska.
Until recently, scheduling responsibilities for the Panhandle were handled by a coordinator based in central Nebraska. However, the increased demand for services made it clear that the region needed a local scheduling position to better support both caregivers and clients.
Adding this new role ensures smoother coordination of care, improved communication, and stronger support for families receiving services.
